Stay Alert: Satan Targets God's First Blessings

Image
M Vidya Sagar The first and most precious gift God gave to Adam was Eve, his beloved wife... Adam: God's Firstborn Targeted The first and most precious gift that God gave to Adam was Eve, Adam's beloved wife ( Genesis 2:22-23 ). What a beautiful gift of companionship and love! Halleluah! Amen! But sadly, Satan used that very gift to begin his attack on God's divine plan. Genesis 3:6-7 tells us that Eve, deceived by the serpent, took the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam. Their eyes were opened, and sin entered the world. Cain: Adam's Firstborn Targeted Remember Adam’s firstborn was Cain. And what happened? He turned out to be the first murderer ( Genesis 4:8-9 ). Once again, Satan targeted the first—destroying what was meant to be a blessing. Cain killed his brother Abel out of jealousy. This shows us that the enemy often corrupts the first with pride, anger, or deception. Pet...

Seven Characteristics of a (Christian) Sheep! Come on! Let's quickly go through and learn them! Believers are often compared to sheep in God’s Word, and God is portrayed as the Shepherd. But have you ever stopped to wonder—why sheep? Why not a lion, eagle, or some stronger animal? Understanding the nature of sheep gives us deep insight into how we are to walk with God—and why we need Him every day. 1. Sheep Are Gentle and Innocent Sheep are among the most peaceful animals in nature. They are gentle, quiet, and not aggressive. This reflects the purity and meekness God desires from His children. “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” – Matthew 5:5 2. Sheep Are Followers by Nature Sheep don’t lead—they follow. Without a shepherd, they are prone to wander and get lost. This is why we need Jesus, our Good Shepherd, to lead us in all our ways. “All we like sheep have gone astray.” – Isaiah 53:6 3. Sheep Are Defenseless and Vulnerable Sheep have ...

AN INTERVIEW WITH GOD Author Unknown I dreamed I had an INTERVIEW WITH GOD. "So, you would like to interview me?" GOD asked. "If you have time," I said. GOD smiled. "My time is eternity...  What questions do you have in mind for me?" "What surprises you the most about humankind?" GOD answered... "That they get bored with childhood, that they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again." "That they lose their health to make money... and then lose their money to restore their health." "That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future." "That they live as if they would never die, and die as though they had never lived." GOD's hand took mine... ...

THE HUNGRY BIRDS!

Image
I came upon an outcropping of rocks,  and as I sat on the highest rock to rest and look out over the valley, I saw a nest in the branches of a tree. The young birds in the nest were crying noisily. Then I saw how the mother bird returned with food for her young ones. When they heard the sound of her wings and felt her presence nearby, they cried all the more loudly and opened their beaks wide. But after the mother bird fed them and flew away again, they were quiet. Climbing down to look more closely, I saw that the newly hatched birds had not yet opened their eyes. Without even being able to see their mother, they opened their beaks and begged for nourishment whenever she approached.  These tiny birds did not say: “We will not open our beaks until we can see our mother clearly and also see what kind of food she offers. Perhaps it is not our mother at all but instead some dangerous enemy. And who knows if it is proper nourishment or some kind of poison that is being fed t...

The most exciting phrase “ The cup of Salvation ” is mentioned only once in the Bible  that is in Psalms 116:13. Usually the cup speaks of a drinking vessel. According to Hebrew root word “To hold together”.  But throughout the Bible it is used very often in a figurative sense. Like for example................. Cup of consolation (Jer 16:7)  Cup of wrath (Rev 16:19)      Cup of blessing (ICor 10:16) …………etc. The word cup & cups are mentioned altogether 65 times in the Bible. But among all these cups only one is higher & supreme;  That is The cup of Salvation. It is not found in world’s treasures or in kings palaces.  But only in God who is both the Creator & the Savior of the world. It is high in value, It is of a great price, A very unique cup of Salvation. What does the psalmist mean...
