Adam: God's Firstborn Targeted The first and most precious gift that God gave to Adam was Eve, Adam's beloved wife ( Genesis 2:22-23 ). What a beautiful gift of companionship and love! Halleluah! Amen! But sadly, Satan used that very gift to begin his attack on God's divine plan. Genesis 3:6-7 tells us that Eve, deceived by the serpent, took the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam. Their eyes were opened, and sin entered the world. Cain: Adam's Firstborn Targeted Remember Adam’s firstborn was Cain. And what happened? He turned out to be the first murderer ( Genesis 4:8-9 ). Once again, Satan targeted the first—destroying what was meant to be a blessing. Cain killed his brother Abel out of jealousy. But have you ever stopped to wonder—why sheep? Why not a lion, eagle, or some stronger animal? Understanding the nature of sheep gives us deep insight into how we are to walk with God—and why we need Him every day. 1. Sheep Are Gentle and Innocent Sheep are among the most peaceful animals in nature. They are gentle, quiet, and not aggressive. This reflects the purity and meekness God desires from His children. “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” – Matthew 5:5 2. Sheep Are Followers by Nature Sheep don’t lead—they follow. Without a shepherd, they are prone to wander and get lost.
